The Grammy-nominated Jonas Brothers have announced a five-night residency at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre from March 14-18.
Titled “Jonas Brothers = 5 Albums 5 Nights,” the concert engagement will feature the brotherly trio singing one of their albums each night: “Jonas Brothers,” “A Little Bit Longer,” “Lines, Vines and Trying Times,” “Happiness Begins” and their upcoming “The Album.” The latter is set to be released on May 5 via Republic Records. The brothers — Kevin, Joe and Nick — will then launch an extensive U.S. tour beginning in August.
Owned and operated by the Nederlander Organization, the Marquis Theatre housed “Beetlejuice” until it closed on Jan. 8. “Once Upon a One More Time,” a fairy tale musical set to Britney Spears songs, is set to begin at the venue on May 13.
Nick Jonas is no stranger to the Broadway stage. He started out playing Gavroche during the original run of “Les Misérables,” joining the production in its final months. He also enjoyed turns as Chip in “Beauty and the Beast” and Little Jake in “Annie Get Your Gun.” As an adult actor he took on the role of J. Pierrepont Finch in the 2012 revival of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and performed as Marius in the 25th anniversary concert version of “Les Misérables.” Most recently, Nick Jonas served as a producer on the play “Chicken & Biscuits.”
Joe Jonas, too, has been on Broadway as part of the children’s chorus in the 2002 revival of “La Bohème.” The eldest of the brothers, Kevin, has not appeared on the Main Stem.
The Jonas Brothers have been nominated for two Grammys: Best New Artist in 2009 and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song “Sucker” in 2020.
